The department is part of the complex services provided by the institute. It systematically and continuously monitors national and European legislature in the field of hygiene and safety of industrial production, problems associated with beer production, product labeling and environmental protection.

It provides for clients survey of current regulations in the given fields with comments, complex profile commentaries to individual fields of interest and methodological recommendations including clearly arranged tables with recommended and mandatory requirements for health acceptability of the products.

Apart from protection of professional interests of production establishments in the field of brewing and malting the department provides consultancy in the introduction of quality assurance systems according to ISO 9000, ISO 22000, and in the introduction and verification of HACCP systems.

The services provided include also consultancy in the preparation for certification audits according to BRC and IFS standards and e, expert’s opinions on complying with law regulations, and advisory services in the field of acquisition of state and EU subsidies.
